Product directions

Pick the boot direction first

Boots carry more material, components and assembly work than low-cut footwear. The direction you pick decides the pattern, the shaft work and the sample effort.

Chelsea-Style Ankle Boots

01

Elastic side panels and clean shafts. Confirm shaft height, gore color and heel treatment before sampling.

Lace-Up Ankle Boots

02

Everyday lace-up profiles with eyelet or hook hardware. Share the last reference, hardware finish and color story for the quote.

Higher-Cut Lifestyle Boots

03

Taller shafts for seasonal assortments. Define shaft height, lining direction and closure early; they drive cost and lead time.

Lug-Sole Fashion Boots

04

Chunky outsole directions for retail and ecommerce. Provide a sole profile reference and the intended lifestyle market, without performance claims.

What the sample settles

One approved sample carries the whole order

For boots the sample locks the last and fit, shaft height and lining, upper material and finish, sole bonding and every branding position. Bulk production then follows the accepted sample, not the photos that started the conversation.

Plan Sample Approval

Confirm the options that shape the quote

A boots brief becomes quotable when these decisions arrive together.

Last, fit & shaft

The last and shaft height drive comfort, sizing and cost. State the fit reference, target market and intended wearer.

Upper material & finish

Textile, synthetic or leather-look directions with color references. Names and finish are confirmed against the sample.

Construction & outsole

Cemented lifestyle constructions with lug or clean sole profiles matched to the use. Component availability is confirmed per program.

Branding & artwork

Send authorized logo files and positions: tongue label, side mark, heel, sockliner and packaging.

Size run & allocation

1,000 pairs per style, per color and per size. Sizes are not combined to reach the minimum, so every size in your run carries its own.

Labels & packing

Care labels, barcodes, cartons and any retailer packing rules belong in the brief so the quote covers them.

Late decisions on shaft height, material, size allocation or packing are the usual cause of re-sampling and shipment delays for seasonal boot programs.

Shaft height: the one number that moves everything

Boot cost and character both hang on the shaft. More height means more material, more stitching, more lining and a harder fit decision, so name the target height class in the first brief.

Sample to production

See where the boots are actually made

First-party photographs from the Jinjiang facility show the sample room, stitching and assembly stages a boots order moves through.

At Jinjiang Keytop Shoes Co., Ltd. a boot follows the same disciplined sequence as every family, with extra attention where boots earn it: shaft panels aligned before stitching, lining set without bunching, and lasting checked so the shaft stands clean. Every checkpoint compares the boot in hand to the sample you signed.

Request evidence for the actual order. Share the checkpoints, inspection needs, destination market and documents your buyer requires. Applicability is confirmed by product and order.

What is the MOQ for custom boots?

Orders start at 1,000 pairs per style, per color and per size. Styles, colors and sizes are not mixed to reach that figure.

Can I order fewer than 1,000 pairs per size?

No. Keytop does not target single-pair retail or small orders below 1,000 pairs per size.

What is the difference between boots and casual shoes?

Boots cover ankle and higher-cut lifestyle constructions with shaft work. Low-cut everyday profiles are quoted through the casual shoes range.

Can Keytop work from my Tech Pack or reference sample?

Yes. Send drawings or a physical reference with construction notes, size range, material direction, colorways, branding, quantity and destination.

Can I develop boots without a Tech Pack?

Yes. Start with an ODM brief covering the customer, market position, silhouette references, color direction, size run, quantity and launch timing.

Are the boots shown on this page in stock?

No. The photographs are development references. Every order is produced against an approved sample and specification.

Can I use my own brand on the boots?

Yes, for authorized private-label programs. Send logo files, preferred placement, label requirements and packing instructions.

Which materials are available?

Share the desired appearance, use and market requirement. Material options and specifications are confirmed for the selected style against the sample.

What are the payment terms?

T/T with a deposit of at least 30%, and the balance is settled before shipment. Sample orders are paid in full before dispatch.

Can I approve a sample before bulk production?

Yes. Sample and courier costs are covered by the buyer, and the sample fee is refunded once the bulk order is placed.

Where do orders ship from?

Dispatch runs from Xiamen or Shenzhen, with FOB or CIF terms confirmed in the quotation together with the destination.

When should a winter boots order be placed?

Early enough for sampling plus production ahead of your selling window. Share the target floor month in the brief and the schedule is planned backwards from it.

Why do orders start at 1,000 pairs per size?

A production run carries fixed work regardless of volume: material purchasing, line setup, size grading and packing changeover. Below 1,000 pairs in a single size that fixed work makes honest pricing impossible.

What actually happens during sampling?

Pattern and last are prepared from your entry, a first sample is built in the sample room, you review shaft, fit, materials and branding, revisions are made, and the approved version becomes the production reference.

Do you make safety boots or work boots?

No. This range covers casual and lifestyle boots only. Safety-rated, steel-toe or certified workwear programs are not target categories, and no protective performance is claimed.

Ready to quote a 1,000-pair boots program?
